Slovenia

• Financial firm Infond Holding confirmed for STA that it called on its creditor banks to work together if they decide to sell their stakes in retailer Mercator and beverage maker Pivovarna Lasko seized as collateral for unpaid loans. NLB announced an auction for a 23.51% stake in beverage group Pivovarna Lasko and a 10.75% stake in retailer Mercator on 19 June. The deadline for bids runs out tomorrow.

    

Croatia

• The EBRD is currently considering financing a project in Šibenik to extend the current docks which would allow larger vessels (cruise ships and transport vessels) to dock at the port; the total loan for the project is estimated at 12 million Euro

• The Minister of Tourism announced today that the number of visits to Croatia in June totaled 1.3 million, while overnight stays totaled 7 million, which represents a 1% increase as compared to the same period last year

• According to EU diplomats, a solution to the Croatian-Slovenian border dispute will not be found for some time since the EU unofficially is unwilling to accept new members into the EU

  .     

Serbia

• Prime Minister of Serbia Mr. Cvetković opened a newly completed section of Corridor 10 worth EUR 13 mil. from the Macedonian border;
  

• New auction for 58% of capital of PKB “Voćarske plantaže“ at a starting price of RSD 542,2 mil. (EUR 5,84 mil.) is scheduled for September 11th. The company owns more than 4.000 hectares of land.

     

Macedonia

• Three companies Enel-Italy, Verbund-Austria and consortium of RWE-Germany and HSE-Slovenia have qualified to participate in a tender to build and operate hydro power plants “Galiste” and “Cebren” with estimated capacity of 500 MW. A total investment is worth 500 million EUR and the deadline to submit an offer is 15^th of October;

Slovenia

• In the face of economic crisis, Slovenian flag carrier Adria Airways said that in spite of hard conditions it did not expect liquidity problems in 2009. The company changed its business plan for this year, as it expects that its earnings before interest and tax (EBIT) will be EUR 3.2m in the red at the end of the year.Compared to the initial business plan, the revised plan envisages 16% lower revenues and a 15% decrease in operation costs.

    

Croatia

• The Croatian Sabor (parliament) today confirmed Jadranka Kosor as the new PM, with a new reshuffled government; in one of her first steps as PM, Kosor plans to make drastic cuts in the budget and rebalance the budge

• The governor of the Croatian Central Bank (HNB) commented today that Republic of Croatia will have to take out further loans of HRK 42 billion in order to refinance this year’s deficit of HRK 14 billion

• The Croatian government plans to issue a tender on July 16^th for the privatization of 6 shipyards

• Naftna Industrija Srbije (NIS) elected a new board of directors, with Dmitri Malisev as Chairman. It also adopted a plan to increase business efficiency;
  

• Furniture manufacturer Simpo opened a store in Arandjelovac with plans to open 9 more retail stores by the end of the week.

     

Macedonia

• On the last auction, Ministry of Finance sold 9.75 million EUR in 6-months T- bills whose price is pegged to the exchange rate of the local denar currency against the euro with interest rate of 5.25%, and 8.13 million EUR in 3-months without foreign exchange clause with interest rate between 7.9-9.09%

Ugovor o kupovini 75% akcija hotela potpisan je u Budvi i njime se "Korston grupa" obavezala da će vraćati kredit budvanskog hotelskog preduzeća od 37 mil EUR", kazao je Ivančević.

- Preostalih 25% akcija hotela ostalo je u vlasništvu budvanske agencije "Adriatic experess". Predstavnik te agencije biće direktor preduzeća, dok će "Korston grupa" preuzeti poslove menadžmenta - kazao je Ivančević.

"Korston grupa", koja poseduje hotel i kockarnicu u Moskvi, odlučila je da preseli kocarski biznis u Crnu Goru, jer je od početka jula u Rusiji kockanje ograničeno na četiri oblasti, uz obrazloženje da je "kockarski biznis štetan za rusko društvo".

Ivančević je naveo da ugovor o kupovini većinskog paketa akcija predviđa i obavezu "Korston grupe" da investira u proširenje hotelskih kapaciteta.

Budvanski hotel ima 241 sobu i apartman, restorane, kazino i sale za kongrese, a planskom dokumentacijom moguće je proširenje hotela za još 20.000 m2.

Ivančević je precizirao da će "Korston grupa" postojeći kazino "pretvoriti u zabavni centar u okviru koga će biti igre na sreću".

On je ocenio da će se tim aranžmanom obezbediti popunjenost hotela tokom cele godine i dodao da ruska kompanija u "ovom trenutku ima 6.000 klijenata iz Rusije koji čekaju na prve čarter letove ka Crnoj Gori".

Ivančević je dodao da su u toku razgovori sa crnogorskim avio-prevoznikom "Montenegro Airlines" za uspostavljanje čarter letova iz Italije i Izraela.

Nadležni državni organi Crne Gore su uoči potpisivanja ugovora ocenili da "ne bi trebalo strahovati od toga što može doći uz kocakrski biznis, već da uz dobru pripremu i striktno poštovanje zakona" on može "dopuniti turističku ponudu i otvoriti nova radna mesta".

• Jadranka Kosor received a mandate from the Croatian President Mesić to form the next government following the resignation of PM Ivo Sanade

• In one of her first steps as PM, Jadranka Kosor plans to make drastic cuts in the budget and rebalance the budget in order to avoid further widening of the budget deficit

• The construction company Dalekovod held its General Assembly this past weekend where a decision was passed that the company can repurchase its shares on the open market

Serbia

• Foreign currency deposits in Serbia surpassed EUR 5 bil. at the end of July, and are now EUR 5,03 bil. according to the National Bank of Serbia (NBS);
  

• Serbia and Greece signed an agreement for aid as part of the Hellenic plan, mainly for building optical infrastructure for educational institutions, worth EUR 6,1 mil.

     

Macedonia

• Lotarija na Makedonija AD Skopje former licensed lottery operator, announced that it had sold all of its basic equipment for more than 0.5 million EUR; 

   

• Zito Vardar AD Veles announced that the company made first export on Albanian market, also informed that the company exported around 600 tones of pork meat worth over 1.2 million EUR in the first six months of 2009.  

• Trade exchange volume in the first five months dropped by 36.8 % y-o-y, export dropped by 43.4 % and import by 32.9 %, import coverage with export is 50%, trade deficit reached near 1 billion US dollars, data from State Statistical Office.

Slovenia

• The figures on GDP growth in the first quarter of this year had been awaited with some trepidation. Heavily dependent on investment spending and exports, Slovenia’s economy was bound to suffer a sharp slowdown, register a second consecutive quarter of negative economic growth and thus slip into the recession. Few were, however, prepared for the news that the economy contracted by 8.5 percent in the first three months of this year compared to the same period of 2008. 

Croatia

·        According to local economist and analyst, Croatia could face a downgrade in its credit ratings due to the current political turmoil; 

·        Croatian post announced that it would issue corporate bonds for a total of Euro 28 million;

·        The current Deputy Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor has not yet received a mandate from the President to form the next government.     

Serbia

• Foreign exchange reserves fell by 5.1% m-o-m to 1.204 billion EUR at the end of April, data from Ministry of Finance.

Telekom RS je od juna 2007. do kraja maja 2009. zabeležio profit od 160 miliona konvertibilnih maraka, odnosno 80 miliona evra. "Profit se deli na ravne časti, pa je Telekom Srbija dobio 60 miliona evra. Takođe, Telekom Srbija je isplatio akviziciju Vladi Republike Srpske od 646 miliona evra i 50 miliona evra investicionih obaveza koje je preuzeo pri kupovini Telekoma RS", rekao je Ćulibrk u razgovoru s grupom

Slovenia

• Krka Group Q2 2009 sales revenues amounted to 478 million EUR and increased by 2% in comparison to Q2 2008. The largest growth of 10% Krka archived in region of Central Europe where Krka sold 29% of all its products and 25% in Eastern Europe where growth was a bit negative in last quarter. Beside that shareholders approved 1,05 EUR gross dividend payout or 15,4% more than in 2008; 

• Iskra Avtoelektrika will not pay dividends to its shareholders this year and left net income in value of 2,65 million EUR as indisposed.  

Croatia

• According to the Croatian Bureau of Statistics, industrial production declined by 0.1% in June as compared to the previous month, while declining by 7.1% as compared to the same period last year; 

• It is expected that President Mesić will give Jadranka Kosor a mandate to form the new government following the resignation of Ivo Sanader.     

Serbia

• Government of the autonomous province of Vojvodina will own 61% of Metals banka (MTBN) shares through a RSD 3,78 bil. (EUR 40,5 mil.) share emission in order to increase the capital of the bank.

     

Macedonia

• The Constitutional court will take an action for evaluating the constitutional basis of some of the provisions of the customs regulations that were key reasons of losing license for freight forwarding activity to Fersped, Makosped and Makpetrol. That action might be in favor after these companies lost license for custom operations;

Kredit je obezbedila EIB, garancije je dalo crnogorsko ministarstvo finansija, a kredit će se realizovati posredstvom devet od 11 komercijalnih banaka u Crnoj Gori.

Ugovor su u Podgorici potpisali potpredsednik EIB-a Dario Skanapieko i crnogorski ministar finansija Igor Lukšić.

Na osnovu procene EIB-a vlada je izdala garancije za kredit Crnogorskoj komercijalnoj banci (CKB) u iznosu od 33 miliona evra, Hipo Alpe Adria banci pet miliona, NLB Montenegro banci 20, Podgoričkoj 7 miliona evra, Atlasmont banci devet miliona evra i Oportrjuniti koja raspolaže sa šest miliona evra.

Kredit će se realizovati i posredstvom Hipotekrane banke koja će raspolagati sa cetiri miliona evra, Komercijalne banke Budva u iznosu od tri i Frst Fajnenšal banke (First Financial Bank) kojoj je opređeljeno dva miliona evra.

Grejs period za odobrena sredstva je četiri, odnosno pet godina, ukoliko se radi o infrastrukturnom projektu, dok je period otplate kredita 12, odnosno 15 godina za infrastrukturne projekte.

Potpredsednik crnogorske vlade i ministar finansija Igor Lukšić ocenio je da će taj kreditni aranžman "povećati kreditni potencijal poslovnih banaka" i "unaprediti njihove bilansne sume, jer se radi o vrlo povoljnim sredstvima".

Potpredsednik EIB-a Dario Skanapieko je kazao da će tim kreditom i sa dodatnih 100 miliona evra, koje bi banke u naredne dve godine trebalo da stave na raspolaganje za mala i srednja preduzeća, biti "angažovano" oko šest odsto bruto domaćeg proizvoda.

Predstavnici vlade i EIB-a najavili su skoro potpisivanje ugovora o kreditu sa crnogorskim poslovnim bankama kojima je odobren.
